Singular moment in a darkened room

tender tap upon my shoulder
she is singing with her light
a glad tiding for my tiny toes
and a twinkle for my temerity
in echoing my spirits song
though no one
no one
no one
sings along.

I am B (call me BB and I will gut you) I like daisies, books, and men who understand the wisdom of Kermit the Frog. I refer to my favorite person as TMW5T Why? because if he had 6 I'd call him TMW6T, duh!!

  1. I’ve read this repeatedly because it’s so beautiful to me. I can’t say that I caught your intended image, but it soars with delight with an image in my memory of resting with my infant daughter, watching her play with the sunbeam shining through the window.

    Thanks Bekki.

  2. Actually Wayne, this one is about happiness with being me and I think that implies for many people. I am pleased it reminds you of your daughter. I count that as a win!
