Goodwill Hunting

He is just a chair,
but he wears time well.
No rips, no tears,
no soggy bottom blues.

He arranges himself neatly
in stripes, cause they are classy.
Wearing cane backed integrity
should anyone think him heavy.

Elegant and understated
with just enough use
to show he has seen a bit of life
and been turned to often.

His light mood belies,
the sturdiness of his construction,
where people seek
contemplative relaxation.
