When an old friend is ailing, your heart feels a bit stretched thin and you fret, a bit, about how you’ll miss them if something happens. It doesn’t matter if that friend is a living person or something else, it still matters. If you spend enough time with something, it becomes part of who you are. So, yeah, I get it.
