Neptune in Sagittarius

Neptune in Sagittarius has a deep level of understanding of spiritual matters. They can appear quite psychic due to their extremely good intuition.

However, this can sometimes mean they have a hard time making up their mind. They also react on a more emotional level than most. They can’t help it! The spiritual world is an extremely emotional realm. They are idealistic and have amazing grand ideas, which doesn’t always translate well to concrete possibility. They dream it, but can’t always actually DO it.

This native will probably really enjoy travel, religious discussion, philosophy, and politics. It’s easy to get them intellectualizing about the possibilities of a thing, so don’t get them started if you aren’t really interested in a deep discussion of the topic.

The cool thing about Nep in Sag, is that they have ideas about things, but are quite tolerant of differing opinions. They love a good debate about why someone has the viewpoint they do and are quite willing to let others believe what they like, as long as the person in question doesn’t act like an ass, insisting only one viewpoint is right. These natives aren’t here for that!

They just love understanding people, even if their own beliefs don’t agree. In fact, they get a bit protective of others rights to have their own core beliefs. They are essentially the image of freedom of belief. At their center, these natives have a “harm none” mentality. They are strongly in favor of personal rights, but don’t think they are ok with cruelty. They accept others, so long as the beliefs of one isn’t forced upon another.

There is a quote that I think explains the Nep in Sag very well it goes “I disapprove of what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it.”

Having said that, I will say that Nep in Sag can get caught up in frustration when anyone attempts, or seems to be attempting, to force them into their way of thinking. These folks take a long time to decide on their path, it’s really a deeply personal thing to them, and they really don’t take it well when others don’t offer the same freedom of belief they, themselves freely offer.

These folks take it really, really hard if things are negative around them for too long. Seeing the bad things in life prevail, can send these idealistic dreamers into a spiral of deep sadness and they might get quite depressed.

Their fears can take over and that natural optimism they favor, will be affected with a feeling of not being in a world where joy is thriving and that they are failing themselves and others.

If the world is too much they might withdraw into themselves and dwell in a realm of fanaticism or obsession with a concept or idea that is a step away from the harsh realistic world.

Things that were once just idle fun, like believing in UFO’s or communicating with spirits, might become a bit too much of a focus, making them resemble a fanatic out of balance.

The challenge of this natives life is learning that there aren’t always black and white answers to everything.

Learning about the viewpoint of others is beneficial to these natives because by focusing on the shades of grey, they are driven to become more, and more compassionate and tolerant in their interactions. They teach through their example.

Once these natives find a healthy balance within themselves they are quite a force of loving in the universe.
