The future of storytelling

I’m contemplating and thinking about where I want to go with my writing. I’d love to create a book series that hinges on a world instead of a single character or set character group.

Like, the story isn’t about a single character’s progression, but of the many stories happening in the same world and that world’s progression from story to story. How the audience learns in multiple layers of perspective. Changing what they understand about that world, by changing their viewpoint of it through meeting more than one culture within that world.

Like, imagine if Luke Skywalker’s story was only one of the stories you got to experience. What if the main characters changed with each book but the world and its core immersion stayed the same.

How interesting.
